The car battery is a very fragile part of the engine; if you don’t secure it, the engine vibration may damage the battery plates. Moreover, the vibrations can also damage the terminals making the connection of the terminal loose and may cause further problem. All that trouble can be avoided just by locking the battery properly in the engine bay with the correct bracket.
